~ You worked hard to become a therapist. And now that you are in the thick of it working at an agency, it is not what you thought it would be. This agency takes your ideas and you never receive credit for them. You dream of a career change to find your purpose again, but you feel like doing so would be “abandoning” your clients. All you know is you want to be able to love the work again, and you are sure building your own practice would help you reconnect with this feeling.
~ You have a private practice and your services are accessible, but you are barely making ends meet. They told you that you could make money doing this work, but you found out that this is a lie. You are sure that other therapists who say they make money doing this work are lying too. BUT in the back of your mind, you wonder if there are things you do not know about business that would help your build something more sustainable.
~ You have a private practice, but you do not have any clients. You know there are plenty of people who need support. They are just not coming to you. You spent $5000 on your fifth training this year, hoping another certification will drive clients to you, but it has not made a difference. Someone told you that your prices are too high, but others in the area are charging more than you and have no issues with their caseloads. All you know is you want to confidently run your practice so that you can live without fear that you will be unable to support your family.
~ You are chronically ill and/or dynamically disabled. You are frustrated that you have to cancel on your clients often when you are unwell or having a flare. You are sure they hate you. You are afraid of the income lost because of your disability. All you know is that you do not want your health to get in the way of your desire to be a “good enough” clinician and the ability to more than make ends meet.
Testimonials
Kathryn Graham, LCSW
Dr. Dyette saved my business. I was struggling with my own personal grief and neglected business matters or put things in a holding pattern while I was trying to heal. Dr. Dyette taught me to take small steps forward while still allowing myself time to heal. She helped me refine my niche so I could seek out clients that best fit into my practice and created a website where those people could find me. She helped me see where colonialism still lingered in my work and willingly shared her expertise and provided tools to combat it. Most of all, she empowered me to go after the practice that I want; to move past my scarcity mindset and that it is possible to build my dream practice. I will be forever grateful!

Ksera helped me realize that I could create a private practice while being a disabled psychologist. I was certain I had to continue working for a group practice, but I was often exploited, underpaid, and felt like the administrative burdens were disproportionate to my time spent doing clinical work. I was scared to leave, but since doing so five years ago, I have never looked back. I still grapple with the rollercoaster that is chronic illness, but it is without deep shame. I now primarily serve chronically ill and dynamically disabled clients for whom fluidity works me, just as much as it does for them.
